My work is about space and stillness. The subject matter varies but my focus remains the same.
I see animals in the distance, or flowers in a room, and then I see the space around them. Every single thing has its own unique existence. Simple things often possess more beauty than we think, and stillness holds many secrets.
There are many funny, gentle, fragile moments in our lives. I would like to visualize these feelings. Although I work on a flat surface, mu intention is to build up layers of paint, which gives me the satisfaction of creatong othe dimensions.
Viewers often do not see the many colours underneath, but I hope that they feel them. The potential of stillness and the hidden possibilities, for me, are very exciting.
